The 27th edition of the festival won Silver in the festival category among 300 competing events
Cous Cous Fest won silver in the Festival category at the 21st edition of the Bea – Best Event Awards Italia 2024, the award that recognizes excellence in live events and communication worldwide, promoted by ADC Group.
The international festival of cultural integration, which has been held in San Vito Lo Capo for 27 years, was selected among the 299 in competition by the jury composed of 50 marketing and communication managers from major Italian companies, coordinated by Antonino Caridi, global experiential manager of Campari Group, which made its decision considering the creativity of the project, the objectives of the event and the values of the brand.
“I am proud of this important recognition,” said the mayor of San Vito Lo Capo, Francesco La Sala, ”which rewards a teamwork of the municipal administration with the Feedback agency, which has always believed in the strength of the event and commits itself with professionalism and constancy in the organization of a festival that has transformed our town, Sicily’s third tourist hub, into the world capital of cous cous. This award will be the stimulus for further prestigious goals that I am sure we will achieve in the future.”
The award ceremony was held at the Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone auditorium, the scene of a veritable parade of creative excellence in the Italian event industry as part of the Bea Italia Festival, two days of business opportunities, networking and training on the world of events and live communication.
“The Bea – commented Marcello Orlando, CEO of Feedback – is the most important award for those who work in the world of events and to get the second place, among the giants of the world of communication, is an immense joy and a great recognition that gives further value to Cous Cous Fest and to those who work, for 27 years, to put it on stage. A second place that rewards the whole Feedback team and the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo and its administration, indispensable partners with whom every year we manage to give life to a unique event, able to unite different cultures under the sign of integration, peace and the dish that embraces countries around the world: cous cous. It is a festival that grows year by year, which is investing in innovation and training of young people and that attracts in 10 days in San Vito Lo Capo 250 thousand tourist presences generating a turnover of 25 million euros. An award for Sicily and Sicilians, an achievement that proves once again, if it were needed, that public-private synergy can work and that investing in our territories and regional excellences, whether nature, art, culture or food, can generate work and important economies.”
